Protecting the health and safety of our players, coaches, officials, parents, volunteers and fans is critical and is, as always, a primary concern for Lovell Hockey. With the global COVID-19 pandemic affecting us all, we will follow all USA Hockey, MA state and U.S. Federal Government health and safety guidelines during this continuously evolving situation. We will be holding our tryouts as planned this evening (Friday, March 13). Rosters for all teams that have already held 2 tryout sessions will be finalized in the next 72 hours. Third tryout sessions will not be held. All remaining tryouts after this evening will be postponed. We will follow up with further information regarding remaining tryouts as soon as possible. The following recommendations, safety measures and precautions will be put into place immediately. We thank you for your understanding, cooperation and consideration during this challenging time.

During your participation in all remaining Lovell Hockey tryouts, please observe the following CDC recommendations, which have been advised to limit your exposure and prevent the spread of germs:

  • §  Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

  • §  Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.

  • §  Stay home when you are sick.

  • §  Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.

  • §  Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not

readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.

We request that you adhere to the following protocols for all remaining Lovell Hockey tryouts:

  • §  DO NOT bring your child to a tryout if you are not feeling well, and DO NOT send your child if he/she is not feeling well.

  • §  Players should only be accompanied by one parent.

  • §  When possible, we recommend that your child dress at home in order to limit the amount of

time spent in a group setting. He or she can come to the rink in gear and put skates on there.

  • §  Do not share water bottles. Please have your child bring their own clearly marked bottle to use

    as necessary.

  • §  When interacting with other individuals, avoid handshakes, high-fives and other direct skin to

    skin contact.

The arena staff will implement enhanced cleaning, including the following areas:

Locker Rooms - Benches/Penalty Boxes/Scorekeeper’s Box - Concessions Area - Restrooms - Lobby - All Doors Handles and/or Knobs - All Flat Surfaces (including tables and countertops).
